Update On Primatene Mist® Discontinuation

Update On Primatene Mist® Discontinuation
Armstrong Pharmaceuticals has announced that pending FDA-approval, Primatene Mist HFA (epinephrine inhalation aerosol) will replace Primatene Mist containing chloroflurocarbons (CFCs) propellants. Armstrong Pharmaceuticals has announced that pending FDA approval, Primatene Mist HFA® (epinephrine inhalation aerosol) will replace Primatene Mist® containing chloroflurocarbon (CFCs) propellants. Primatene Mist CFC will be discontinued as of December 31, 2011 due to the environmentally harmful effects of CFCs on the ozone layer. Because there will likely be a period of time between December 31, 2011 and the date of FDA Approval of the HFA Primatene Mist product, Armstrong encourages patients to purchase sufficient Primatene Mist® CFC to bridge the period when the product may not be available. Primatene Mist® is an OTC product indicated for the temporary relief of mild asthma symptoms. For more information call (877) 462-8363 or visit www.armstrong-pharma.com.
